4. Construction Technologies and Systems Full time Faculty Position
The School of Engineering and the School of Civil Construction of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chileinvite applications for a full-time faculty position in the area of Construction Technologies and Systems, to strengthen and expand teaching, research and technological innovation in this area. This is a joint appointment to the School of Engineering (Department of Construction Engineering and Management) and to the School of Civil Construction.
Duties: The new faculty duties will include teaching (at undergraduate and graduate levels), conducting research, providing external services related to this area, and performing academic administrative assignments. Research should focus on construction technologies, systems, methods and processes, with an emphasis in technology transfer to the industry. Accordingly, the new faculty will also be expected to build a strong relationship with the construction industry. Design, Modeling and Simulation of Construction Systems, Industrialized Construction Methods, Prefabrication, Preassembly, Modularization, Recycling, and Construction Automation, are examples of desirable topics to be addressed. The new faculty will be expected to create new undergraduate and graduate courses and teach traditional courses in related areas.
Requirements: Applicants must hold (or be currently pursuing studies towards) a Ph.D. in a related discipline. It is important that the applicant is able to work collaboratively. Some international experience is also desirable. Candidates do not need to know Spanish at the time of applying, but should be prepared to learn the language well enough to begin teaching in the short term.

The successful candidate will also be expected to create new undergraduate and graduate courses and teach traditional courses in related areas.
The position is for a full time professor in Innovative Construction Technologies, to strengthen and expand academics teaching and research in the area of construction process, methods and technology. In particular:
