FACULTY POSITION IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
The Faculty of Engineering and Sciences (FES) of the hiring a faculty memberin the field of Mechanical Engineering. Areas of specialization should be one of the following: energy and environment, design and manufacturing, robotics and mechatronics.
Faculty members at FES are expected to teach undergraduate, graduate and doctoral courses in Spanish and English, supervise theses, conduct high quality research in collaboration with industry and government, publish in top international journals, and participate in outreach activities. Starting date for this positionis March 2017. Salary and teaching load are competitive.
Candidates need not be fluent in Spanish at the moment of applying. They must exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills, an aptitude for teamwork, and a scholarly interest in high quality engineering education and research. Requirements include an engineering degree and a PhD in Engineering or a related field. Applicants in late stage of doctoral studies are also welcome. A graduate degree or major in engineering and relevant industry and research experience are a plus. ISI publications are welcome.

If this initial screening is successful, the candidate may be asked to give a lecture about her/his current research topics and to hold interviews with the Dean and members of the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences.
