Call for Tenure Track Faculty Positions in Transportation Engineering

The Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Technion - Israel Institute of
Technology invites applications for tenure track positions in the Division of Transportation
and Geo-Information Engineering in transportation engineering.

The Division of Transportation and Geo-Information Engineering at the Technion is
committed to excellence in teaching and interdisciplinary research aimed at providing the
knowledge base, innovation and human capital needed to shape an efficient, safe, and
sustainable transportation system to support economic growth and quality of life of the
citizens.

The Division is looking for excellent candidates with expertise in transportation system
analysis. Areas of interest include, but not limited to, the following:

• Development and application in the broad area of data intensive multi-modal
transportation system analysis and performance.

• Large-scale transportation network modeling and analysis, including public
transportation systems and non-motorized modes.

• Data-driven solutions to transportation decision making, including transportationland
use-environment interactions, transportation safety and security.

The position is open to all academic levels (senior lecturer, associate professor and full
professor) with priority to young applicants. Applicants should hold a doctoral degree, have
a basic knowledge of Hebrew, and have a demonstrated leadership and commitment to
teaching and research in the academic environment.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of the research
and teaching program of the Department including conducting research independently and
in collaboration, achieving research grants, supervising graduate students, and teaching
postgraduate and undergraduate courses in her or his field of interest and to contribute to
the teaching of other engineering courses at the undergraduate level.
