 3.  Research field:

   Multiscale and multiphysics modeling of materials, Solid Mechanics, Computational Mechanics, Computational Materials Science

 

 4. Teaching Subjects:

  1) Graduate classes in Mechanical Science at Division of Mechanical Engineering

  2) Undergraduate classes in Mechanical Science at Course of Mechanical Science

 

 5.  Qualifications:

 An applicant should have

  1) a degree of either Ph.D. or Doctor.

  2) distinguished research record in the above-mentioned research field (especially for mechanical properties analysis using first-principles calculation, molecular dynamics simulation, Monte Carlo simulations, continuum level simulations and so on), and ability and enthusiasm in opening up new horizon for the field as well as applying research outcomes to Mechanical Science.

 

6.  Anticipated starting date:

  December 1st, 2017 - March 31st, 2018

 

7. Employment status:

  No Fixed Term, Full-time

 

8. Work hours:

  Discretionary Labor System, Special Work Type, based on the ‘Regulations Pertaining to Working Hours, Holidays and Leave for National University Corporation Osaka University Staff’.

 

9. Salary and Benefits:

  Based on the ‘Salary regulations for National University Corporation Osaka University academic staff subject to annual salary system’.

 

10. Social insurance:

  Successful candidate will join National Public Service Personnel Mutual Aid Associations, Employment insurance, and Workers’ Accident Compensation Insurance.

  3) Reprints or copies of three papers of those most representing the candidate’s research

  5) A concise personal statement describing about the future vision for research and that about education after the assignment in the department (within one page)

 

  6) Academic societies and social activities

 

  7) References to whom the University can ask for opinions on the research and education experiences of the candidate

 

  8) Other information such as academic awards, Patents with their brief descriptions, a list of research grants awarded as a principal investigator
