You will be accountable for providing teaching and vocational expertise, across all aspects of delivery, planning and performance.


Your key accountabilities will be to:

  • plan and deliver creative course content and learning activities which encourage student participation and ensure they are highly engaged throughout their course.
  • work with key stakeholders to identify and develop pathways to success for learners that enhance the student experience, retention and employability skills.
  • develop and improve courses for national qualifications in VET, including learning materials and assessments that satisfy internal quality benchmarks and the national standards.
  • construct learning experiences that promote interaction, social presence, and community among students, and between students and industry.
  • maintain an ongoing program of professional development that satisfies both regulatory requirements and personal expectation as a professional VET, teacher.



You will have relevant tertiary qualifications in:



  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) 
  • Vocational qualifications at AQF level based on level of teaching required  
  • Vocational currency as demonstrated through a range of work and related experience 
  • Registration with relevant professional association/s (as required for the specific discipline)



  • Diploma in VET Practice 
  • Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical)
  • Certificate IV in Engineering (Mechanical)


The key to your success will be your proven track record in design and delivery of up to-date and engaging programs, learning materials and teaching delivery plans in an adult learning environment, that motivates and guides students to optimise their learning outcomes.


Highly motivated, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, your personal style is flexible and collaborative. You are passionate about education, with sound knowledge of the theoretical and practical foundations of your discipline, and have shown an ability to motivate and mentor students through your real life work experience.
