Introduction

 

INL is seeking a qualified Post-doctoral Research Fellow to work on a project in the area of mechanical properties of dental implants in a collaborative project with INL ( Department of Nanoelectronics Engineering and Department of Micro and Nanofabrication) and group of partners led by Celopas.In particular the project deals with testing a variety of coatings on particular Ti or Ti alloy dental implant parts subject to mechanical wear.

 

Job Role & Key Responsibilities

The Post-doctoral Research Fellow will undertake the following main activities and responsibilities:

  • Develop solutions to improve the mechanical properties of dental implants;
  • Test a variety of coatings on particular Ti or Ti alloy parts subject to mechanical wear.

 

Job Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • PhD inApplied Physics, PhysicsEngineering or related technical fields;
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the topics:electrodeposition; ALD; PVD techniques; surface characterization;
  • International mobility experience will be valued.

 

Personal Skills

  • Strong motivation to work both independently and as part of a team in an interdisciplinary environment, with the ability to pay close attention to detail and to meet deadlines;
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in the dissemination of results to the scientific community are expected;
  • Capable of establishing collaborative ties with distinguished academic groups and relevant industry partners.

 

Languages

 

  • English is the working language of INL. Therefore, excellent communication skills in English are required.
