Full-time full-time employment. Six months of probation can be applied.

 

Description of the subject area: Construction technology aims at designing and managing a good built environment while minimizing impact on the finite resources of the Earth.

 

Tasks: Teaching, Examination and Administration. Teaching includes course responsibility, course management and price development. The tasks also include following developments in the field of their own subject area and social development in general that are important for the work at the university.

 

Eligibility Requirements: Qualifying to be employed as a university lecturer, according to Uppsala University's employment scheme, is a graduate with a degree of education from university education and demonstrated pedagogical proficiency and has undergone university-relevant educational training, comprising ten weeks, or acquired equivalent knowledge. If there are special reasons, the college education can be completed during the first year of employment. According to the University's employment plan, as a general qualification requirement for teachers, the personal qualities required to fulfill the job are well.

 

The applicant must have documented ability to teach in Swedish and / or English unless special reasons exist. The holder is expected to be able to teach Swedish in two years.

 

Basis of assessment 


Subject area: Upon selection of qualified applicants, subject matter in building engineering with a focus on computer-aided design will be considered important.

 

Educational proficiency: By selection among qualified applicants, weight will be attached primarily to scientific and educational skills. Educational skills relate to education and teaching qualification. The pedagogical skills may have been achieved in professional life through supervision, internship, mentoring programs etc.

 

In assessing the pedagogical skills, educational quality is primarily taken into account. Even scope, both width and depth, will be given importance. Furthermore, the ability to plan, initiate, lead and develop education and teaching, as well as the ability to research the teaching based on research in the subject, subject didactics and university education, will be considered important. The ability to interact with higher education pedagogical issues with actors inside and outside the university is also part of the pedagogical skills.

 

Administrative Skills: Administrative Skills are important for the employment and will be given great importance. Administrative skills also mean entrepreneurship.

 

All qualifications must be documented so that both quality and scope can be assessed.
