The Department of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering at the School of Chemical Engineering is looking for a

 

Doctoral Candidate or Postdoctoral Researcher in the area of Mineral Processing and Interfacial Separations

 

We are looking for a highly motivated Doctoral Candidate or Postdoctoral Researcher to join a project aimed at the development of a novel experimental technique for the understanding of interfacial phenomena in froth flotation. As part of this project, you will be working on the study and continuous improvement of new testing devices and the implementation of experimental results in the simulation of mineral enrichment operations.

 

We are looking for an independent and highly motivated individual with a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or similar fields. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of mineral flotation processes and hands-on experience in the construction and maintenance of experimental devices.

 

Excellence in scientific writing and publishing is expected, and good command of English is a necessary prerequisite. Knowledge of LabView, Matlab, and HSC or other process simulation software is considered an asset.
