Researchers in quantum nanophotography

Royal Institute of Technology, School of Engineering

KTH is one of Europe's leading technical universities and an important arena for knowledge development. As Sweden's largest university of technical research and education, we gather students, researchers and faculty from around the world. Our research and education covers both natural sciences and all branches of technology as well as architecture, industrial economics, social planning, technical history and philosophy.

The School of Engineering studies the frontline research in a broad field, from research in basic subjects such as physics and mathematics, to technical mechanics with applications in aeronautics and vehicle technology. The school operates and develops the Master of Science in Engineering, Physical Physics and Vehicle Technology, as well as the open program and several master programs.

duties

The applicant will develop and realize advanced quantum experiments on nanometer scale in cryogenic environments as well as hybrid quarantine systems where solid quantum dots are combined with atomic systems to realize quantum memories and quantum repeaters. You will also supervise master students and doctoral students.

qualifications

A doctorate in quantum optics focusing on nanometer scale is required, as well as experience with cryogenic techniques and measurements at individual photon level. Expertise in interlaced photonics measurements is a plus as well as expertise in quantum quantizer quantization such as semiconductor quantum dots and nanotubes and hybrid quenching systems, as well as knowledge of integration of quantum emitters in integrated circuits is desirable. The applicant should have previous experience of leading ambitious research projects and receiving European research funding. The applicant should also have a strong international background with at least one postdoctoral experience.
