INL is seeking a qualified Post-doctoral Research Fellow to work on advanced solutions for porcelain products in a collaborative project between INL (Department of Micro and Nanofabrication and Department of Nanoelectronics Engineering) and Costa Verde Ceramics.   


Job Role & Key Responsibilities

The Post-doctoral Research Fellow will mainly focus on developing solutions to increase the resistance of porcelain against chipping and to enhance the strength of the rim.


Job Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field of study, acquired prior to the intended starting date at the INL;
  • Solid knowledge of the preparation of nanomaterials by the solgel method;
  • Knowledge and experience of the preparation of nanofibers by electrospinning process;
  • Experience in characterization techniques used for composite materials;
  • Experience in coatings is positively evaluated.


Personal Skills

  • Strong motivation to work both independently and as part of a team in an interdisciplinary environment, with the ability to pay close attention to detail and to meet deadlines;
  • A good track record of disseminating research results.
  • Experience in carrying out research in collaboration with industry is highly valued.



  • English is the working language of INL. Therefore, excellent communication skills in English are required.
