Post-doctoral Research Associate in Compressor Technology City University of London United Kingdom

A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is open in the Centre
for Compressor Technology in the School of Mathematics, Computer Science and
Engineering at City, University of London. Supported by industrial funds, this
post involves research of multiphase flows in positive displacement screw
compressors and expanders by using CFD. The post will also require some
involvement in experimental research.
Responsibilities: The postdoctoral associate will be responsible for research,
publishing journal papers, presenting at conferences and interacting with
collaborators from industry and academia.
Required Qualifications: PhD degree in mechanical engineering, applied
mathematics or related fields. 
Desired Qualifications: Strong and demonstrated experience in computational
fluid dynamics research using commercial and non-commercial tools, and
programing in a high-level language such as C/C++ and FORTRAN are desired. Prior
experience in modelling and experimental investigation of rotary machines and
flows including multiphase fluids with non-ideal gas behaviour is desirable.
