The Chemical Engineering Department invites applications for temporary specialist positions (in the full rank) to collaborate with faculty in the area of Chemical Engineering, which includes but is not limited to Materials and Interfaces, Bioengineering, Energy, Efficiency & Sustainability and Modeling, Theory & Simulation. Appointments in the Specialist Series will generally be for a variable amount of time, up to one year, with the possibility of limited reappointments on an annual basis in accordance with applicable personnel policies and availability of funding.


Appointees at the Full Specialist level normally provide considerable independent input into the planning and execution of the research, have a significant record of academic accomplishments, including contributions to published research in the field, and a demonstrated record of University and/or public service.


Basic Qualifications: Should possess a PhD (or equivalent degree) or have ten or more years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization.


Desirable Qualifications: Demonstrating expertise in the field of Chemical Engineering and have an outstanding research record. Appointment salary and benefits will depend on the job/position and the academic background and experience.
