The role

The successful appointee will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the research projects and performing high quality research. The successful appointee will work on an ARC discovery project related to the development of new cathode materials for solid oxide fuel cells. The successful appointee will also work with group members on business development activities, supporting WHS activities and take on supervision and mentoring duties.


The successful appointee will have access to state of the art research facilities in the group


There are opportunities to work across a broad range of topics some of which have industry and research partners.


The person

Applicants should possess a PhD in / qualifications in relevant discipline/s and working rights for Australia. Demonstrated competency in solid oxide fuel cell electrodes with particular competence in cathode materials is essential. Experience in scale up of SOFCs are highly regarded.

This role is a part-time position (0.5FTE), flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

This is a part-time, fixed term appointment for one years at Academic level A. The remuneration package will be in the range $33,141 - $43,145p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $38,775 - $55,480p.a.).
