The appointee is expected to conduct research work in the design and development of metallic 3D printing technology and its application; and to develop a computational model for the simulation of the 3D printed components.

 

Applicants should have a master's degree or above in materials/mechanical engineering or a relevant engineering/science discipline with solid background in one of the following areas: materials characterizations, design and manufacturing, simulation and modelling, etc. Experience in using computer drawing software is required. Post-qualification work experience in teaching, training, or project management is preferred. The appointee is expected to be a good team player with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, a dynamic learner who enjoys cross-disciplinary work, and be able to handle multiple project-based assignments. A high level of proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese is essential. Working outside normal office hours may be required. Suitable candidates with PhD degree may be considered for appointment as Research Associate. (Duration: 1 year, renewable)

 

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
