The role
The Advanced Water Management Centre is seeking a research fellow to investigate and determine the concentration of perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from different source of contaminated water using advanced water technologies. The main task of the successful candidate is to carry out bench and pilot-scale research for a large ($1.7m) ARC SRI project.

 

The person
Applicants should possess a PhD in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering. You should also have a strong desire to develop a successful and highly-productive research career. You should have knowledge in water quality and advanced water technologies. You should have the ability to design and operate a RO membrane pilot, demonstrate expertise in validation technology and risk-based framework. You should have the capacity to work with multidisciplinary research teams, good communication skills and the ability to meet objectives within set deadlines.

Remuneration
This is a full-time, fixed term appointment at Academic level B. The remuneration package will be in the range $93,985 - $111,607p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $109,963 - $130,580p.a.).
