Faculty - Industrial Engineering Technology & Science Location Dubai Women's College,Sharjah Women's College Position Available To All Candidates Posting Date 25-Nov-2018 Closing Date 31-Mar-2019 Position Summary The HCT is following the international academic standards in classifying faculty according to their qualification & experience in one of the three following ranks: • Lecturer • Assistant Professor Faculty provide effective instruction in under graduate courses at all levels in Industrial Engineering, covering traditional and emerging areas such as sustainability, business data analytics, and health care and logistics technology management. Active involvement in applied research and outreach activities are expected. Faculty play an important role in assisting with the development and preservation of system-wide and directorate-specific policies, and are viewed as active participants in academic and extra-curricular events at the College and within the community. Requirements A PhD Degree in Industrial Engineering A professional certification in an area relevant to Industrial Engineering is preferred A Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering Technology with a minimum of 5 years of teaching/training experience at a tertiary level maybe considered for a lecturer position. A minimum of 1 year of engineering teaching/training experience at a tertiary level At least 2 years of relevant industrial experience in an area relevant to Industrial Engineering Technology Must be able to provide instruction at various levels within the program areas Experience in developing course curriculum as per accreditation and international standards Possess specialist knowledge and proven ability to operate specialist equipment and use discipline-specific software Evidence of a personal professional development plan with a membership to an internationally recognized professional association being preferred Effective presentation skills, both theoretical and practical Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization A high degree of computer literacy and demonstrated ability to integrate technology into the learning environment and teaching methodology The Higher Colleges of Technology is committed to the recruitment and development of UAE Nationals.
