Aalto University School of Chemical Engineering is now looking for a target oriented

Doctoral Candidate in the field of chemical engineering and solid-liquid separation.

 

The position is located in the Department of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering.

 

Job description

For this position the work involves using crystallization as purification, concentration and separation method from multi-component solutions and research on solid-liquid thermodynamics. The industrial field of application is in process development of pretreatment and chemical recovery from biorefineries.

 

Your experience and skills

- Masters degree and a proven publication record preferably in chemical engineering.

- Experience in development and use of experimental methods for crystallization from melt and solution, freezing, hybrid separation processes, characterizations of solid materials (X-ray diffraction, Raman, particle size and shape)

- Solid-liquid equilibrium measurements and predictions are highly valued.

- Strong modeling background is an asset.

 

Salary and contract terms

Aalto University follows the new salary system of Finnish universities.

This is a fixed-term position.
