Job descriptionJob summaryThe Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering wishes to appoint new academics at Lecturer/Senior Lecturer grade. Applicants are sought in the areas of Computer Vision and Machine Learning. Example research areas of interest include (but not limited to) computer vision and machine learning for real-time domains such as healthcare monitoring, multimodal human-machine interaction, robotics, autonomous vehicles, and smart cities. Applicants that combine computer vision or machine learning with engineering applications in the wider area of intelligent systems will also be considered. The appointees will: Plan and direct relevant research programmes of outstanding international quality Publish in high quality scientific journals Successfully attract funds for research initiatives Supervise research staff and students Advance the reputation of the department Take on departmental administration as and when requested by the Head of Department.
