Postdoctoral researcher in environmental catalysis

The group of Industrial Chemistry focuses on teaching and research related to chemical reaction engineering and reactor design.


Job description

The research topic will for this Postdoctoral position will be NOx abatement with advanced catalytic technologies. The core interest is the kinetics and catalyst design of NO decomposition and to utilize the reaction in NOx abatement. The primary work tasks of the postdoctoral researcher are to carry out research, to instruct doctoral and undergraduate students and to seek funding possibilities. This is a one-year postdoctoral appointment (with possibility of extension).



You should have ambition to pursue an academic career. In addition, you should have interest in and be able to contribute to the teaching tasks of the courses the group is in charge of.


The candidate should also have:

  • PhD degree in a suitable field

  • Proven publication record in a related field

  • Good written and oral communication skills in English

  • Experience in carrying out independent project-based work and working in a highly collaborative environment


The salary is determined according to the salary system of Aalto University and depends on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
