In accordance with § 94 Sec. 2 subpara. 1 of the Austrian Universities Act, the Faculty of Engineering & Natural Sciences at the Johannes Kepler University Linz announces a tenured faculty opening for a University Professor for Game Computing


The Faculty of Engineering & Natural Sciences at the Johannes Kepler University Linz invites applications for a private law employment position as a


Professor for Game Computing


to begin immediately. The appointment is in accordance with § 98 of the 2002 Universities Act. A faculty performance review will be conducted after a four-year period.


The academic focus for the professorship position should be on developing, designing, implementing Game Computing as well as expertise in the theory of Game Computing. Game Computing is to be understood in a broad sense and can cover both practical and theoretical aspects.


The applicant’s outstanding academic and scientific reputation and excellence will be given a higher priority that the academic area he/she will represent.

The successful candidate should hold a post-doctorate (Habilitation) degree in the field of Game Computing or a related field (or a comparable academic degree).


An annual gross salary above the amount of € 71,822.80 as stated in the collected agreement will be voluntarily offered.
