Key information about the roleJob descriptionJob summaryThis post relates to the continuation of an internationally leading collaboration between the Biomechanics Group at Imperial with the surgeons of the Fortius Clinic, who are leaders in treatment of high-level professional sportsmen and women. We have on-going work developing surgical procedures that are more effective at stabilising injured knees. The person appointed to this post will work closely with the surgeons and take their experimental surgical specimens and perform biomechanical tests on them, to document aspects such as kinematics and stability. The resulting data will then be published and presented at international sports surgery conferences.
