Work­ing field:

Wit­hin the European rese­arch pro­ject H2020 SAFE­LiMOVE the TU Ber­lin will invest­ig­ate mater­i­als pro­ces­sing for lith­ium bat­ter­ies with solid state elec­tro­lyte.
The work at TU Ber­lin focus­ses on:
  • Fab­ric­at­ing of elec­tro­chem­ical cell arrays on pla­nar sub­stra­tes for sim­ul­tan­eous bat­tery mater­ial invest­ig­a­tion
  • Depos­ition of elec­tro­des and elec­tro­lytes by screen print­ing and dis­pens­ing in argon con­tain­ment, poly­mer­iz­ing of the elec­tro­lyte and optim­iz­a­tion of depos­ition pro­ces­ses
  • Elec­tro­chem­ical char­ac­ter­iz­a­tion and data eval­u­ation on cell array level

Require­ments:

  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in elec­trical engin­eer­ing, elec­tron­ics tech­no­logy, mater­ial sci­ence, chem­ical engin­eer­ing, microsys­tems engin­eer­ing or com­par­able
  • Know­ledge and exper­i­ence in the fields of micro-man­u­fac­tur­ing pro­cesses (e.g. pro­cessing of sil­icon and glass sub­strates, screen print­ing, dis­pens­ing, elec­tro­plat­ing, elec­tro­chem­ical test­ing)
  • Good com­mand of Ger­man and and very good com­mand of Eng­lish (spoken and writ­ten)
Desir­able know­ledge in the fields of:
a) Chem­ical pro­cess engin­eer­ing
b) Bat­tery fab­ric­a­tion
c) Elec­tro­chem­istry
  • Struc­tured and inde­pend­ent way of work­ing
  • Will­ing­ness to take respons­ib­il­ity for sub­tasks
  • Abil­ity to work in a team, will­ing­ness to doc­u­ment
