Applications are invited for the above EPSRC funded post within the Buildings, Energy and Environment (BEE) Research Group to investigate a versatile PCM energy storage system for building applications (Versatile PCM). The project will investigate an innovative solar heat storage system as a renewable energy heating solution. The proposed system will make a breakthrough in the application of phase change materials by controlling heat release to synchronize end use energy demand and supply.

The candidate should have the necessary theoretical and practical skills in thermal energy systems, solar energy, energy storage and heat pumps. He/she needs to provide leadership and be able to drive the project forward.

The BEE Research Group has an international reputation for excellence across a broad range of sustainable energy technologies encompassing low carbon buildings, building retrofit, HVAC, energy storage and renewable energy in the built environment.
