Salary :£27511 to £40322 per annum, (pro rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience (minimum £30942 with relevant PhD). Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance

Applications are invited for a Research Associate/Fellow in High Power, Power Electronic Converters in the Power Electronics, Machines and Control (PEMC) Research Group at the University of Nottingham. The post has been created to support ongoing research projects including the design, simulation and construction of large power converters. The PEMC group has undergone a significant period of growth and now has over 150 members, with 18 academics (including 7 full professors) and approximately 95 PhD students and post-doctoral research fellows.  The group has excellent facilities and will be moving to a new, dedicated, 5500m^2 building early in 2020.

The successful candidate will undertake research on power electronic converter design, control, construction and testing of power electronic converters for high power applications.

Candidates should hold or be shortly due to obtain a PhD or equivalent in Power Electronic Converters or a very closely related topic. 

This is a full-time, fixed term post, available immediately until 28 February 2022. Job share arrangements may be considered.
