Job descriptionJob summaryApplications are invited for the post of Research Associate on an EPSRC-funded research project at Imperial College London. The project aims to develop soft robotic technologies for endoscopy, capable of delivering diagnosis and therapy inside the body with various degrees of autonomy. You will be combining soft everting robots, soft continuum manipulators, and fibre-based actuators into a multi-scale robotic platform. Soft robotics is an integral part of the programme, and it will involve the design, manufacture, integration of the various components, including fluidic actuation and proprioceptive sensing modalities. The prototypes will be manufactured in our state-of-the-art facilities, and they will be tested by using surgical phantoms representative of endoscopic surgery. Duties and responsibilities
