Applications are invited for a Research Associate position in robotic manipulation as part of the Amazon Research Award project ‘Mechanical intelligence for in-hand manipulation’

Duties and responsibilities

    • Plan and carry out research in accordance with project aims
    • Generate and display results and interpret meaning
    • Maintain accurate documentation of all results
    • Prepare results for dissemination in terms of publication and presentation
    • Publish original research on robotic manipulation in high-quality journals and conferences
    • Write detailed project reports as needed
    • Liaise with project partners as appropriate
    • Conduct literature searches and reviews

Essential requirements

    • Research in robotics, particularly in robotic manipulation, as evidenced by publication
    • High-quality prototyping and testing of robotic systems
    • Analytical, numerical, and experimental work
    • Implementation and testing of robotic hands

Further information

This is a full time fixed term position for 10 months.

*Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as Research Assistant within the salary range £35,477 - £38,566 per annum.
