The School of Engineering is recruiting a Senior Teaching Fellow with subject expertise for the design and engineered solutions to the World’s most complex and diverse humanitarian issues. The successful appointee will undertake design, delivery and administration of teaching and learning at undergraduate and postgraduate level led by the Discipline for Civil and Environmental Engineering within the School of Engineering at the University of Warwick. In an interdisciplinary forum the Senior Teaching Fellow will be able to teach on the cross-faculty Humanitarian Engineering MSc programme. It is expected that successful delivery will develop the appointed candidate’s own academic career and profile as a university teaching-focused specialist.

 

To be successful in this role you should have expertise for teaching on themes, such as: Water, Sanitation and Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Cities; Infrastructures for Emergencies, Humanitarian Engineering Ethics and Practices, International Development and Sustainability applied in Civil Engineering context. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to colleagues and students and to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

 

It is essential that you have the ability to use a range of delivery and assessment strategies to engage the interest and enthusiasm of students and inspire effective learning and have experience of curriculum design or humanitarian engineering experience and knowledge which can inform the curriculum.
