Professorship for surveying and geoinformatics Faculty of Civil Engineering and Conservation, Fachhochschule Erfurt Germany

The position is available indefinitely. In the first appointment to a professorial office, the employment is carried out on a temporary basis for a period of three years. Exceptions to this rule and the procedure for the conversion of the temporary civil servant ratio into a civil servant relationship for life time can be found in § 79, para. 2 and 3 Thüringer Hochschulgesetz.

We are looking for an engineer of the civil engineering and / or related engineering disciplines, which represents the teaching areas of surveying (surveying, construction and photogrammetry) and geoinformatics (geo-information systems GIS and digital terrain models) in teaching and practical research in the fields of construction engineering and landscape architecture . In-depth knowledge and many years of practical experience in these areas are required.

The willingness to take on teaching tasks in adjacent basic competencies of the civil engineering or the landscape architecture is expected.

Beyond the job descriptions the tasks in § 76 ThürHG are defined. In particular, the cooperation in higher education institutions, the development of teaching and the maintenance of international contacts are expected. The applicant must be able to carry out courses in English.
