Non-Tenure Track Lecturer / Senior Lecturer Position in Construction Management

NTU's School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) aspires to be a leading school for Sustainable Urban Systems. Currently, it has over 60 faculty members and more than 1,500 students, and is rapidly expanding its range of educational and research activities. Its faculty has led major university-wide strategic research thrusts in space creation, water research and sustainable built environment. Going forward, CEE is addressing critical problems in urban systems such as building and energy systems, sustainability of urban cities, and resiliency to natural and unnatural risks.


To fuel further development, we invite applications for a non-tenure track Lecturer/Senior Lecturer position inConstruction Management.


Applicants should have at least a bachelor degree in civil engineering and a master's degree in construction engineering/ project management or related field. Candidates with strong industrial experience in the construction industry are strongly preferred. As the main responsibility is in teaching, the candidate must demonstrate strong and relevant teaching ability and be excellent in pedagogical communication skills.  A candidate who is a registered professional engineer in Singapore is an added advantage.


The candidate shall have a strong background in several of the following construction fields: construction project management, construction technology management, value engineering in construction, quality management in construction, project financing, and human resource management.  


The candidate is expected to play a significant role in developing and teaching construction courses in one or more of the following areas: construction project management software, building information modelling (BIM), design for manufacturing and assembly (DfMA), prefabricated prefinished volumetric construction (PPVC), and automation in construction.




The successful candidate is expected to teach construction courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and supervise undergraduate and M.Sc. student projects.
