Academic Council on Time / Postdoctoral Researcher (f / m)


Fulltime position, start date: immediately


The research group is engaged in modelling, simulation and optimization of power systems, likewise considering technical and non-technical aspects. The range of possible topics includes, but is not limited to power system modelling, analysis of operational flexibility in power systems, energy market simulation, and sustainability assessment.

Applicants for the positions should have a strong research background in electrical engineering, energy informatics, energy management, energy system modelling or a related field, and a proven record and interest in grid infrastructures. The required qualification is a Ph.D. in one of the fields mentioned above. Experience with writing software in Matlab or Python is preferred. Very good English skills are required, and German skills are highly desirable. Additional desirable characteristics include a passion for teaching, good communication skills and effective work habits.

In addition to the legal requirements, a qualified doctorate is expected. This position is a fixed term of three years and can be extended by three years. The possibility of further qualification is given. There is an obligation to teach in the amount of 4 SWS.
