Salary: Level C $120,993 – $139,510 p.a. or Level D $145,685, - $160,500 p.a., plus 17% superannuation.Level of appointment is subject to qualifications and experience.


The Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning seeks to appoint an outstanding academic with a passion for the built environment professions, and the desire to help build teaching programs of world excellence. The successful candidate will have a proven capability to make a significant contribution to teaching and learning, research and engagement focusing on their demonstrated expertise.


The appointment would be a Teaching and Research position with the expectation that the successful candidate will undertake a leading role in the improvement of teaching and learning quality within the Faculty of Architecture Building and Planning. The Faculty’s current content delivery modes include studio teaching, tutorial, seminar and lecture based formats. The nature of teaching and subject delivery is changing with subjects incorporating differing teaching approaches including flip-teaching, blended learning, e-learning and on-line modules. The expectations of students and academics are changing with traditional lecture formats becoming less effective and accepted and more innovative approaches being tested. Within this fast-changing context of teaching delivery, the Faculty has committed academic positions and resources to review, adapt and implement improved and effective modes of teaching and learning.


The successful candidate will undertake a leadership position in the Faculty to further develop and facilitate improved teaching and learning. This improved development within the Faculty will incorporate best practices and effective measures of teaching quality with subsequent mechanisms to determine improved student experiences and satisfaction.
