Position DescriptionThe Materials Department in the College of Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara, is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the broad area(s) of electronic, optoelectronic, photonic, or quantum materials. The position will be at the Assistant Professor level. Responsibilities of faculty members generally include high quality research, teaching excellence at undergraduate and/or graduate levels, recruitment, supervision, and mentorship of graduate students, and participation in university service and professional activities. The Materials Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, professional visibility and service.
