Subject FieldIntegrated semiconductor devices and chip technologies. Subject DescriptionThe subject area covers material and process technology for the manufacturing of integrated devices, circuits, and systems—both at the chip level and in packaged solutions—from a broad perspective. This includes, for example, co-integration of electrical and photonic functionality in communication, memory, and power applications. The research is experimental in nature and aims to improve the functionality and performance of semiconductor devices as well as related system applications. Both fundamental and applied scientific questions are addressed. The Division of Electronics and Embedded Systems conducts research in areas such as heterogeneous III‑V/CMOS integration within the competence center Advanced Chip Technologies (ACT), and SiC-based power electronics within the EU Wide Bandgap Pilot Line. The appointed assistant professor is expected to contribute to at least one of these research areas. Duties
