Description

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Davis invites applications for an Assistant Project Scientist in the area of Pavement Engineering.

Basic qualifications include a PhD in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field, and experience with environmental life cycle assessment (LCA) or pavement and transportation related activities. Demonstrated ability to conduct and lead pavement-related laboratory and field experiments. Demonstrated experience with the use of LCA models and software. A demonstrated ability to quickly turn research results into technical reports and peer-reviewed publications.

Experience with communicating with a diverse set of stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications: experience working with and mentoring graduate students and field technicians.

Salary and appointment level are commensurate with experience.
