Overview:Play a pivotal role in providing senior leadership for the Discipline’s academic and research performance, strategy, and growth Fixed term (3-year) appointment as Assistant Associate Dean, underpinned by an ongoing Associate Professor or Professor position Remuneration for Academic Level D ($163,538 - $180,166) or Academic Level E ($210,658) Based at City campus but may be required to work and/or be based at other RMIT campuses
Proven academic leadership and management skills, with demonstrated success in leading teams to achieve strategic outcomes. An established research profile in Software Engineering or a closely related field, with the ability to lead impactful research initiatives. A strong record of innovative, student-centred teaching informed by contemporary learning and teaching theory. In-depth knowledge of Software Engineering industry trends and training needs. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and implement tactical solutions aligned with organisational goals. High-level interpersonal, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills. A collaborative and collegiate leadership style, with the ability to foster shared goals and support change. Commitment to team development, continuous improvement, and inclusive academic practices.
A PhD in a relevant discipline. Qualifications and experience commensurate with appointment at Academic Level D or E (please refer to the relevant position descriptions).
