The SVM and SOM provide rich opportunities to engage with both basic research scientists and veterinary and human clinicians in transdisciplinary research, and unique access to naturally occurring animal models of disease. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching: Candidates are expected to actively participate in the teaching mission of the School of Veterinary Medicine. The candidate will be expected to teach lectures, laboratories and other teaching activities in the DVM professional curriculum, graduate clinical (resident) training program, graduate education and mentoring (PhD, MS), and/or department-driven undergraduate courses on campus. Candidates must possess a PhD and/or DVM and have significant postdoctoral experience in environmental toxicology or a related field. Experience with grant writing and acquisition of extramural funding is required. Aptitude/experience in teaching broad-based toxicology to professional or graduate students is required. The candidate is required to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse community. Candidates are expected to have experience with, or strong potential for, accomplishment in areas contributing to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
