Responsibilities:Developing an innovative research program in developing engineering approaches to study immune system-microbiome interactions; teaching and developing undergraduate and graduate courses in Biomedical Engineering, to foster the learning of a diverse student population; mentoring graduate students, and supervising their research; participating in departmental and university faculty governance; participating in outreach and service in industry and government; and contributing to professional and public services.
