Lecturer in Architecture EngineeringSchool of Architecture Faculty Los Angeles, California The USC School of Architecture invites applicants for an adjunct faculty position in building structures for Spring 2024 semester. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to teach research seminars for graduate Building Science students addressing contemporary topics related to novel structural systems and materials with an emphasis on sustainability. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to apply a range of generative and analytical techniques incorporating appropriate software-based tools.

The core salary range for this position is $42.97-$66.41 per hour. This is a part-time, 37.5% position.

USC reserves the “adjunct” appointment for faculty teaching less than full-time at USC, who are employed full-time in a primary profession or career elsewhere. Adjunct faculty typically teach only one course per year but, in exceptional cases, may teach one course per semester, if approved by the dean.
Qualifications: A master’s degree in architecture, structural engineering, or an equivalent degree is required. Preference is given to candidates with a proven track record of research and or related professional work or prior teaching experience at recognized schools of architecture.
