Postdoctoral Fellow in Mechanical EngineeringApply now Job no: 518936 The Opportunity The School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering has an opportunity for a Postdoctoral Fellow. You will conduct research in the field of life cycle sustainability assessment. This is a key role in supporting research projects as part of a multidisciplinary team of researchers in life cycle sustainability assessment of thermoforming packaging technologies. This is a hands-on position which will require working with other researchers and industry partners to develop sustainability indicators, collect data, carry out e-LCA, LCC, s-LCA. In this role you will be working on a project that will be undertaken within the Sustainable Manufacturing and Life Cycle Engineering Research Group @ UNSW (www.lceresearch.unsw.edu.au) and the associated industry partner organisation. This position will give you the opportunity to develop your research skills and output through your contribution to the writing of scientific papers and reports for international journals, participating in conferences and workshops, supervising students, and actively engaging with industry partners. The role of Post-doctoral Fellow reports to Professor Sami Kara with a dotted line to the project steering committee and has no direct reports.
