FEN acts as a "bridge" between academic research and industrial needs related to energy policy, shaping the transition to a more sustainable, reliable and cost-effective future energy system. FEN provides utilities, grid operators, industrial associations, and federal institutions with a technology-neutral and independent quantitative analysis. Project backgroundWe are looking for a highly qualified and motivated Postdoctoral Researcher, Scientist, or Expert to strengthen our team in the field of energy system modelling. The central focus of this position is the application of our in-house energy system modelling frameworks to real-world challenges at different temporal and spatial scales. You will work on practical problems ranging from the design of building-level energy solutions and municipal energy planning to national system studies of Switzerland, and European-wide multi-sector energy integration.
