Subject fieldConstruction Procurement and Innovation Subject descriptionConstruction procurement and innovation refer to procurement processes and innovation aimed at achieving a sustainable and innovative built environment that addresses future challenges and requirements. As such, particular emphasis is placed on the owner and client perspectives. It encompasses managerial, organizational, strategic, technical, and economic issues and theories as applied within the construction and infrastructure sectors. DutiesThe primary responsibilities include research and teaching within the subject field. The professor is expected to conduct research of high international standard and lead a research environment. Duties include applying for external research funding, establishing and further developing research collaborations both within and beyond the host institution, engaging with society, and carrying out impact activities. Teaching responsibilities involve supervising doctoral students, and contributing to and developing undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral education, as well as continuing education for professionals. EligibilityA person who has demonstrated both scientific and pedagogical expertise is eligible to be appointed as a professor. Assessment criteriaThe assessment criteria for appointment as a professor at KTH shall be the degree of expertise required as a qualification for employment. In addition, the assessment criteria stated in the KTH appointments procedure, section 1.1, apply in relation to the employment profile laid down. Of highest importance is that the applicant has scientific expertise in the subject field, demonstrated, for example, through the establishment and leadership of research environments as well as the development of national and international research collaborations. the ability to apply for and secure external research funding. expertise in cooperation with the outside community and communicating research and development work. pedagogical expertise in the subject field. Of second highest importance that the applicant has ability to collaborate expertise in promoting the development of, and leading, activities and staff.
