Work­ing field:

Col­lab­or­a­tion in the rese­arch pro­ject GEnEff (New eval­u­ation of the energy effi­ciency of build­ings). The over­all object­ive of the rese­arch pro­ject is to deve­lop and val­id­ate a new assess­ment para­meter that takes into account energy use and Indoor Envir­on­men­tal Qual­ity (IEQ). Wit­hin the scope of the pro­ject, an exper­i­men­tal envir­on­ment is to be deve­lo­ped, with which it is pos­sible to couple opti­cal imp­res­sions vir­tu­ally via VR mod­els with real imp­res­sions of ther­mal com­fort.
On the basis of sub­sequent test per­son stud­ies, a new type of build­ing energy effi­ciency index will be determ­ined.


  • Suc­cess­fully com­ple­ted uni­ver­sity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) pre­fer­ably in the field of build­ing engin­eer­ing or sim­ilar
  • Advan­ced know­ledge in the field of the ther­mal com­fort and build­ing energy sys­tems
  • Good the­or­et­ical and prac­tical know­ledge of test bench con­struc­tion and oper­a­tion, in con­nec­tion with ther­mal com­fort
  • Good prac­tical know­ledge of meas­ur­ing ther­mal com­fort
  • Good pro­gram­ming skills (ide­ally Python)
  • Good know­ledge in the field of auto­ma­tion
  • Good know­ledge in the field of data acquis­i­tion and ana­lysis
  • Know­ledge in build­ing energy sys­tem sim­u­la­tions, espe­cially Mod­el­ica/Dym­ola
  • Very good PC know­ledge (hard­ware and soft­ware)
  • Team and organ­iz­a­tio­nal skills
  • Very good know­ledge of Ger­man, both spo­ken and writ­ten; will­ing­ness to learn the lan­guage skills that are miss­ing in each case
  • Flex­ib­il­ity; inte­rest in new chal­len­ges
  • Good know­ledge of Eng­lish
