Work­ing field:

The MoBild research pro­ject (Mobil­ity edu­ca­tion: Devel­op­ment and imple­ment­a­tion of teach­ing and learn­ing approaches to pro­mote sus­tain­able mobil­ity beha­vior among chil­dren and young people via the qual­i­fic­a­tion of (future) teach­ers and edu­cat­ors), sup­por­ted by the Nationaler Rad­verkehr­splan (NRVP) of the BMVI, is con­cerned with the devel­op­ment and imple­ment­a­tion of teach­ing and learn­ing approaches for integ­rated mod­ules in the day-care and primary school sec­tor: mobil­ity edu­ca­tion in which cyc­ling and walk­ing is spe­cific­ally pro­moted and anchored early in the social­iz­a­tion pro­cess of chil­dren and young people.
The pro­ject approach is based on the con­cep­tual approach of mobil­ity edu­ca­tion and traffic edu­ca­tion of the region Ber­lin-Branden­burg and devel­ops own train­ing mater­i­als on this basis. In prac­tical terms, the pro­ject is con­cerned with the devel­op­ment and imple­ment­a­tion of teach­ing and learn­ing approaches (mater­i­als, mod­ules, cur­ricula) for integ­rated mod­ules in the kinder­garten, kita, pre-school and primary school sec­tors. An admin­is­trat­ive and muni­cipal anchor­ing of new train­ing and fur­ther train­ing meas­ures for edu­cat­ors and teach­ers is the focus of atten­tion. To this end, close cooper­a­tion with exist­ing traffic schools, kitas and ele­ment­ary schools will be estab­lished. These will be used to dir­ectly imple­ment and trans­late the the­or­et­ical res­ults and to test, eval­u­ate and val­id­ate them in prac­tice by the end users.

The work­ing field includes:
  • lit­er­at­ure research and basic eval­u­ation
  • sur­vey of exist­ing teach­ing mater­i­als and cur­ricula
  • devel­op­ment of teach­ing mater­i­als and cur­ricula
  • sci­entific imple­ment­a­tion and eval­u­ation
  • pub­lish­ing the res­ults in pro­fes­sional journ­als and con­fer­ence pro­ceed­ings
  • pre­par­ing recom­mend­a­tions for action and guidelines for mobil­ity edu­ca­tion
  • com­mu­nic­a­tion with local stake­hold­ers and pro­ject part­ners
  • pro­ject imple­ment­a­tion, doc­u­ment­a­tion and organ­iz­a­tion, as well as com­mu­nic­a­tion with the pro­ject man­age­ment organ­iz­a­tion, the fund­ing agency and the research depart­ment of Tech­nis­che Uni­versität Ber­lin


  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted sci­entific uni­versity stud­ies (dip­loma, mas­ter or equi­val­ent) in trans­port, regional and urban plan­ning, social sci­ences or a related field is required
  • sound know­ledge in the fields of mobil­ity, trans­port and integ­rated plan­ning is required
  • pro­found know­ledge in the­ory and applic­a­tion of qual­it­at­ive and quant­it­at­ive meth­ods is required (inter­views, focus group dis­cus­sions)
  • good com­mu­nic­a­tion skills and a very good know­ledge of Ger­man at a nat­ive speaker level are required
  • good eng­lish skills are desir­able
  • exper­i­ence in imple­ment­ing pro­jects in cooper­a­tion with local stake­hold­ers and pub­lic admin­is­tra­tion is desir­able
  • interest in the topic of mobil­ity edu­ca­tion is desir­able
