Duties and responsibilitiesThe successful candidates will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary research team committed to excellence, working on a project which will involve investigations into the development of nanoengineering membranes as a low-energy separation process to replace energy intensive ones such as distillation and evaporation processes currently employed in the oil, gas and chemicals industry. Essential requirementsYou should hold a Masters level degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Engineering or a related subject and have obtained a PhD (or equivalent, or be near completion) in studies of Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering. You should have experience in porous materials, organic synthesis, or composite membrane fabrication. Further informationThe post is available immediately and appointment is for 24 months with a possibility for extension. The post is based in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London (South Kensington Campus). Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as Research Assistant within the salary range £38,194 to £41,388 per annum.
