A position exists, for a Research Associate in the Department of Engineering, to work on High Capacity Surface Wave Transmission.


The post holder will be located in the Department of Engineering, Electrical Division Building, West Cambridge, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, UK.


The key responsibilities and duties are capacity modelling of surface wave transmission lines and the development of a data transmission test bed signal propagation over surface wave transmission lines.


The skills, qualifications and experience required to perform the role are the relevant experience of communications systems with desirable experience including: design of Communications and RF Systems; experimental assessment of communications and RF systems and signal processing for Communications systems. Applicants must have obtained a PhD in Electronic Engineering, Physics or Computer Science.


Salary Range: £32,236 - £39,609


Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 24 months in the first instance.
