JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary role is to be involved in R&D and/or industry projects. The successful candidate will be expected to design and develop a Power Generation (PG) system such as the li-ion battery power system for energy storage application. The candidate will also be expected to conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of the system as well as to design the related test setup.

• Design and develop a power generation system such as the li-ion battery power system for energy storage application
• Design and assemble the setup for testing the performance of the PG system
• Conduct experiments in order to evaluate the effects of each parameter on the performance of the PG system (including software and hardware) at different conditions
• Perform thermal, stress-strain or computational fluid dynamic simulation
• Conduct and supervise students in applied research or industry collaboration projects

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Qualification in Electronic and Electrical Engineering (EEE) or equivalent
• Minimum two years of experience in EEE design
• Experience in FEA simulation
• Knowledge of Pro/Engineer or Solidworks, as well as MATLAB/Simulink or C/C++ and Python will be advantageous
• Technically competent in mechatronics design system and automation
•  Good command of English, strong communication skills and ability to present complex data
