University of Cambridge, Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics
United Kingdom

Applications are invited for a University Lectureship in the Mathematics of Information and Learning to commence on 1 September 2020 or by agreement, to be held at the Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics. Appointment will be made at an appropriate point on the scale for University Lecturers and will be for a probationary period of five years with appointment to the retiring age thereafter, subject to satisfactory performance.

They will be expected to investigate new areas of research and funding opportunities, and submit grant applications. They will also be required to write papers for publication, attend conferences, network with national/international colleagues and give presentations.

In exceptional circumstances, it may be possible to offer a supplement to the salary range stated for this role of up to £10,000. Any such supplement would be awarded on the basis of a demonstrable history of exceptional achievement and is entirely at the discretion of the University.
